Ronnie Caryl (born 10 February 1953 in Liverpool) is an English musician who was a member of the group Flaming Youth, playing bass/guitar in the band.
He is also a good friend of Phil Collins. Ronnie Caryl and Phil Collins went to the Genesis audition in the summer of 1970 at Peter Gabriel's parents' house, but Ronnie's guitar style was considered to be too "bluesy".
Ronnie played in some other bands e.g. in 1972 with his Group "Sanctuary".
They made an album but it was never released and in 1973 with the Jazz-Rock Band called "Zox & the Radar Boys" including Peter Banks (Ex-Yes), Mike Piggott and Phil Collins. In 1985 Ronnie played with Eric Clapton and Gary Brooker for a Charity Concert. As of 1997, Ronnie has been a member of Collins' band, both recording and touring.
