I was staying in Tel-Aviv end March/early April 2005 on business. Spent much of my spare time in Mike's Place, and because of the bombing in 2003 I felt really humbled to be there. It is a wonderful place, I ate and drank lots, and saw lots of soccer matches live! I look forward to many more hours in Mike's Place when I'm next in Tel Aviv

I just watched Blues On The Beach, and wanted to write to let you know I am so glad that a message of survival was made through this film. Such power and beauty in the lives you live. You are an inspiration in my life and the lesson I have learned from you is that Life goes on. I am looking forward to visiting Israel, and coming to Mike's Place to drink a beer and listen to some great music on the beach.

I love Mike's Place! Talk about hot Israeli men! They kept me busy for days and days and days! Man did they stretch me out! It was amazing that I was still able to walk! The first thing I did when I got home was get a thorough exam for STD's and luckily they were able to burn off most of the warts and the massive amounts of antibiotics took care of whatever else I picked up!

Want to share a joke with all you musician dudes from Mike's: "When Jerry Garcia died, he woke up and found himself on a stage on which a number of instruments were set up. A door offstage opened and in walked Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Brian Jones, John Lennon, Otis Redding and Buddy Holly. Each musician picked up his favorite instrument and began tuning up. Jerry walked up to Jimi and said, "Man, so this is what heaven is like." Jimi looked at him and said, "Heaven? You think this is heaven?" At that moment, Karen Carpenter walked in, took her seat behind the drums, and called out, "Okay guys, 'Close to You.' One, two, three, four!"

israelHello to Jack, & all the Mike's Place family, Just a few words to say that I was so deeply moved by the film, such a pity that Jack could not be here to see it with us. Jack , if you read this, please know that you have created a very important film, which in my opinion might very well gain world recognition. I hope that we will see you again soon. Josh,(and Pavla too), you have done a truly wonderful job, and I hope that this film will be screened in other places in the world, so people can understand that there is some "sanity" left here. All of you are wonderful, brave people, and I just can't find words to express how much you all mean to me. Faith Romano - a.k.a. Daniella's Mom :-)

southampton Hampshire United KingdomDear Friends, The last time I wrote was back at the end of last year and I trust you are well and enjoying 2004!
Its almost a YEAR since that fateful night in the bar and the fund along with Mikes Place is now in the process of putting together a memorial evening, details of which will be published soon on the site.
There will be a screening of the film - 'Mikes Place an Israel Experience' at the Cinimateque in Tel Aviv, followed by a small ceremony at the bar.
Just yesterday I saw a recording of the 2 British terrorists who committed the attrocity. They were speaking in English about the glory in killing Jews, and their pride in what they were about to do, and I sat there thinking of those who perished and if not for these scum would be with us right now.... perhaps this is why I felt the need to write a few words!
Either way, anyone reading this, please be aware that we STILL need donations for the fund. The last wave of donations was used to give financial help to victims of the attack and although it was given to them just before Rosh Hashanna they still need a LOT of help.
We are also attempting to aid victims of other terror attacks but until we raise far more money we cant really do so...therefore please give a thought to the fund, especially a year after the event...your donations are truly needed.
Best Wishes for now and hope to see you all in the summmer!?

Tel Aviv IsraelDear Mikes Place, I was at the bar the night before the bomb last year. I had had a few beers and relaxed in your great bar and listened to the music. I left without paying for my last beer so I decided to go back on the night of the bombing to pay up. Something changed my mind about going in at the last minute and when I walked round the corner the explosion went off.
I will make a donation to the life after terror fund and will join you to pay for the beer when I am next in Tel Aviv this year!

I was recently in Israel with Sar-el and visited Mikes Place while in Tel Aviv. I saw the nearby memorial. It was so sad to see those who were killed and injured. After 9/11, we now see what the Israelis have been experiencing. Israel is a great country with great people. I admire and respect them deeply.

texas usaDom Dom Dom Dom, I feel funny writing this. Not seeing you working on Friday afternoon rips me apart in a way only you could know. They were targeting me, not you babe. I would be more than happy to trade spots, but higher authority would choose otherswise. Life is like a running river, it flows around over and under you in a blink of an eye. As you try and wonder why one drop passes another flows by and you find yourself going crazy trying to catch up. I find myself having to accept what happened that night in much the same way. I hate myself for not taking time to do more with you. I can only hope that you will forgive me for my shortcomings. I used to talk about you with my protege but it will never hit home with him because your gone for ever. If the good lord ever blesses me with a baby girl she will cary at least a part of your name. Not because of the fear of forgetting you, but the joy of reminding me of the smile you had for me every time I walked into your life no matter how hard your day was. I cry all the time since that day, along with a few other people I'm sure, but like me they will move on. But you darling will never be forgotten. I look forward to seeing you one day when my life here on Earth ends. Saying good bye is for only those I never plan to see again. I can only hope your there to meet me when my day comes to move on to that better place. You need only to check with God on my arrival date. Being an angel I know your just a phone call away. So in closing everything is pretty much the same. I see Buzzy every now and then as well as Bruno. I still dont like that dog, Bruno. The sunsets are as pretty as ever. The dumpster's blocking the veiw of all the fine looking women as well as stinking the place up when a strike is on. Mikes is always going to be our salvation from this, this well you know what type of world. I will always love you like a sister Dom. "Freedoms just another word for nothing left to lose" J Joplin S

over your shoulderNot really much to say apart from thank you all for allowing the Spitz to experience such a great night. I have heard so much about so many people involved with Mike's Place. Some of you I met at the gig, some of you I am yet to meet to put a face to a name. I want to wish all involved and the guys back in Mikes Place much health and happiness for the future. Blues Train- what a show! Will see you soon hopefully over a few cold beers. Thanks for the CD. (which is now played regularly in the Spitz. Hope you don't mind. The customers don't)Charley and Chris- Thanks for the experience. None of this would have happened without you two! Keep that Wild Turkey on ice!!! Good times always. Dan

London EnglandJust wanted to say a big THANK YOU to those of you who came along to the Gig on Saturday 28th June. The Spitz Club was packed with a crowd of more than 200 who joined us for a great night of live music and beer. Bands from Cardiff to Leeds to Brighton came down to London and put on a fantastic performance. The night was headlined by our boys back-home - Mike, Andrei and Gadi who flew in from J'town and rocked the stage (despite a closed bar!). Many people poured into the gallery to see the exhibitions by Yael Aviv and Shira and sign our guest book. The evening was a huge success and between ticket sales, the raffle and T-Shirts, we have raised over £2,000 for The Fund.
Since the event, many people have told me what a great atmosphere it was in the Spitz that night (including the staff!!) and many more of you talked of the great people you met. There were also a few reunions! If we managed to achieve this in London for one evening then we were truly successful in our aim to share the Mikes Place spirit internationally, as well as raising money for our family.
Of course there are lots of people to thank...I will try and keep it brief: Dave - what a star! Vanessa (the raffle queen), Andy, Camilla, Craig and Row - you guys are the best. Natalie, Martin, Elke and Tracy for all your hard work on the night. Ellie for curating an entire exhibition in under 2 hours, Craig & Josh for your camera work, Sidney Baginsky our resident accountant, Sloane and Solly. For flying in the band Brent Tanner, Sharon Travel (Sam you are the best!), West End Travel, Fort Air and Benji - your generous donations made it possible. CST for your security and the boys at Scotland Yard, Brian and Winn. Alex you managed the fastest sound check in history and kept the place rocking. We never really had the press behind us in the Uk but to those that took on our story...thank you: Judi Herman (BBC Radio), Martin Lewis (BBC), Jo (Intelligent PR),Jenny Hazen (Jerusalem Post), Louise Scodie (JC) and Walter Bingham (Radio4). To the entire team at London Jewish News - you guys helped us every step of the way. Dan Levitt & Dan Whiteman for the poster headaches (sorry!!!), Justin Cohen - you truly rock! Danny Boy (Spitz) for going beyond the call of duty...for getting our gig back on the road after it was cancelled, nothing to say to you - except see ya in Israel..We love ya!
To all the bands - Electric Experience, Pylon, Maxtones, Firefly and Natureboy for giving your time and energy and putting on the best show ever. Joe and Karl - you guys kick ass! Blues Train - Laheim! Lastly to all our family back home, for your total support and love in these difficult times...see ya all real soon.
For those that couldn't make it there are lots of photos on www.totallyjewish.com.
We still have a few T-Shirts & CD's left. For more info on donations,T-Shirts, CD's and future Mikes Place events in London email: london@mikesplacebars.com.
Keep on rockin in the free world...

IN USAI just wanted to send everyone my best wishes and thank everyone who attended the fundraiser in CHICAGO!! We had the event on an outdoor patio at a bar called McGees in Lincoln Park. Around 100 people came (even if more came, I'm not sure we could have even fit them in - the place was packed!!), raised a good amount of money, and everyone had a really good time. We were able to show the Israel National News video at the event which I think gave everyone a really good idea of what Mike's Place is about and what we were all there raising money for. Hopefully we can get some pics of the event posted on the website. I'm not sure when I'll be back in Israel (hopefully soon), but I can't wait to kick back and have some pints with everyone.

IL USAWe just wanted to say a big thank you to all those people who helped us with the London Gig. So many people came down and supported us and Mike's Place. There were many familiar faces and also new ones - people who had just been touched by the story of Mike's Place and its spirit. We had about 200 people there, some amazing bands and a very sucessful raffle. But the most wonderful thing was the atmosphere, the place was alive. It was also wonderful to have Blues Train it made us all feel so close to you. Much credit also has to go the Spitz and all our volunteers who made such a wonderful contribution and gave up their free time and energy for this great cause. Well you will all see the photos soon (for now check out www.totallyjewish.com) and we are sending you our guest book which will show how Mike's Place, spirit and all came to London Town on the 28th of June 2003

EnglandMonday, June 30, 2003 Greetings, Just wanted to send out a big THANK YOU to all of you who came out and helped make the June 28th New York City Benefit for the Mike's Place, Life After Terror Fund a great night! On our first day of gorgeous weather here in Manhattan, we had around a hundred people attend the concert, plus our numerous volunteers! Hosted by The Bowery Poetry Club and in the true spirit of Mike's Place, the live music by MaMa Gutay, Rod Cone Situation, Triplefreak and Mike's-Place performer Noah Solomon with Soul Farm was incredible and kept everyone's spirits up, insuring a good vibe and a good time had by all! Documentary filmmaker Jack Baxter, who was seriously injured the night of the attack in Tel Aviv at Mike's Place, gave a truly heartfelt and eloquent speech. Seeing his bandaged arm and walking cane brought a sobering reminder of the tragedy that occurred that night. Jack kept the mood light, even while paying homage to those who were injured or lost their lives at Mike's Place on the tragic evening of April 28th. We were also happy to welcome to the benefit, Dr. Dave, one of the doctors who helped take care of Jack in Tel Aviv. The raffle drawing was a terrific success, and a number of lucky winners took home great prizes. A terrific night overall, we raised just over $1,000 (!) for The Life After Terror Fund, and hopefully will be able to sell the remainder of our Special Benefit T-shirts and add another $1,500 to the fund! If anyone would still like to make a donation or to purchase a New York City Mike's Place Benefit T-shirt, please email newyork@mikesplacebars.com Price: $15 each or 2 for $20. We have over 100 left!!! Sizes L and XL. Thank you again for all of your support! Best Wishes! Lisa-Thi Beskar newyork@mikesplacebars.com

Hey guys!
I hope this finds you well, safe & in good spirits. I
know you must be very busy, so I'll try to get to the
point...
I'm flying from Seattle to New York in the morning to
be at the NYC benefit... before hand I'm going to the
Dead concert with Aaron. :)
But I was talking to Ian and he told me that after the
benefits, y'all were looking to possibly keep a
foundation in place. THAT"S WHAT I DO!
While I'm not sure exactly what you have in mind, I
definately want to talk to you about the future plans
for the Fund... if there's someone I should talk to in
NY (besides the PhuKNuTs I'll be staying with (hil &
eyton, etc), let me know, but I'm chomping at the bit
to put together world-wide blues concerts to benefit
terror victims in Israel... say the word!
Love & PEACE to you all!

peacekitty99@yahoo.comTo N. Bar Shlomo: Frankly I do not have much time to be dealing with this negative energy but I do feel that Mr. Bar Shmomo's comments cant be igonred so here goes: I have been working voluntarily for the Fund since the attack. It is not called the Mikes Place Fund, rather the 'Life After Terror Fund' - no mention of Mikes here - no need. Our initial reaction was to help our close friends whose lives were torn apart, with a view to establishing a specific charity (Life After Terror) which would ultimately provide an umbrella to help other terror victims in the future. This we will do. Meanwhile you should understand that there IS only so much we can do. The attack took place only a month ago in which time we have established numerous international events and done our best and more to be positive and productive. I do not intend to deal with your synical point that Mikes are self promoting as it is frankly not worthy of a response. If you had an ounce of sensitivity you would see that this guestbook is designed to re-assure people who have suffered great loss, it is not a political forum, and if you 'care' at all you are welcome to join the many others who have offered us serious help in putting up posters and raising money. sydney AustraliaFor a while there mike's place was a very important part in my life. maybe the most important. i came to love the place and the people... i'm not special, everybody i know that came to mike's place, stayed, and there's no wonder. gal, assaf, dave, dave and dave, avi, and everyone else i may be leaving out had made mike's the most high quality joint in Tel Aviv, and a great place to go out and meet GOOD people. i adore each and every one of them. i haven't signed the guest book so far because so far i thought other people can put what we all feel to words better than i can. until now. N. Bar Shlomo made a very nasty, though very true remark; he mentioned all the other people who lost their lives, family members or friends in those senseless acts called suicide bombings, that didn't get a fund to help them and/or their families get their lives back on track. it's not right, i agree... but then again, you've got to understand, mike's place is an international known and loved place. of course people from all over the planet would like to help, IT'S HOME! sadly, most places that has suffered from terrorist acts don't have that kind of support simply because they are not internationaly known places, where people keep in touch even when out of the country. BUT what kind of a bitter person would say it's a "shameless self-promotion"?!? i may have not been at mike's place for years and years, but i have come to know the staff well, and they are the most kind, selfless, caring and loving group of people i have ever met! i feel sorry for you, Mr. Bar-Shlomo, and i can only hope you will get the chance to expiriance such brotherhood among people from all ends of life, that you will know the wonderful times i have known, even for a few months, at a place like mike's place. i urge you to stop by the Namal on the 28th, so you can see what we're all talking about. and to all the gang back at mike's, i love ya'll VERY much!! keep on rocking in the free world, Julie.

TA IsraelI have never felt so far from home. Mikes Place is my "cheers" and it is so hard to be on the other side of the world, when my family is in so much need. But look at you guys, look at how you're pulling through. We cant change the fact that it happened, but it is our responsibility to learn from it. To support the families affected and rebuild the legacy that is Mikes Place. I love you all and miss you all so much. I'll be there soon and I cant wait to throw my arms around all of you. So much love, so much respect. your sister, Emma.

bc canadaTo N. Bar-Shlomo, Have you no shame ? Aren't we supposed to assume the best of people ? Especially in these most tragic times. Accusing people of selfishness and self-promotion in the face of attrocities with absolutely no understanding of the circumstances is dispicable behavior. In answer to your questions: I don't know what planet you are living on but there are many charities set up for the victims of terror not just Mike's Place. It just so happens that there are many people arround the world and in Israel who consider Mike's a second home and have been personally touched by this horrible event. These people consider themselves part of a family and are simply taking care of their own. You should be aware that many of the victims have no where else to turn. As for Assaf and Gal the co-owners of Mike's Place, they are two of the most selfless people that I know. I've known them for over thirteen years and we've been friends, business partners, roomates and more. No doubt that partial motivation for setting up the fund is guilt. You should be ashamed of your accusations and print a full appology on the web site. Sincerely Aaron Gluck http://mysite.verizon.net/vze6l0zx/

NY USAI just wanted to comment on the "Life After The Terror" fund that has been organized for the victims of the attack at Mike's Place. While my heart certainly goes out to all the victims, thier friends and families, I am somewhat dismayed by the tremendous amount of attention focused on the terror attack at Mike's Place. There have been many terror attacks and hundreds of innocent victims have either lost thier lives or have had their lives horribly affected by terroist attacks here in Israel in the past few years. Despite this it would seem that the attack at Mike's Place has been given a special significance. Why is the international community being asked to open thier hearts and wallets specifically to help the victims of this tragic incident? Are not the hundreds of other victims, most of whom do not have the support of a now quite well-known establishment to back them also worthy of support? Nobody is garnering international attention for the many other nameless, faceless victims who have been brutally murdered or had thier lives tragically altered by terroist attacks. It would seem that though the cause of seeking to help the victims of the attack is certainly noble enough the campaign also smacks of shameless self-promotion. I would suggest that the owners of Mike's Place if they truly want to help, regularly donate a portion of thier profits to the victims of the attack and/or thier families. I would further suggest to the international community that instead of focusing solely on this one incident they widen thier focus to include all the many victims on both sides of the conflict that has sadly become part of life here in Israel. Peace, N. Bar-Shlomo Givatayim, Israel (noded55@netvision.net.il)

IsraelTo all at Mikes, I just want to write and express my shock and condolences at the attack. When I was in Israel, I loved nothing more than to go to Mikes in the evenings, in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, and listen to great music. It seemed the last place one would expect an attack- music, blues especially, is the universal language of peace- it seems so counter-productive to target people doing nothing worse than enjoying themselves. Yours was my favourite place in Israel before the attack, and I hope that you will still be open when next I visit. My heart is with the families of those murdered, and I wish speedy recovery to all those injured. We shall overcome...

CA USAHey folks, Its 2:30 am here and I'm just stumbling in the front door. The Concert was awesome. We raised about nine thousand shekels. We realize that this is just a drop in the bucket for what the people who need our support require, but also more than that it was a true Mike's Place night. Every band was great and the closing Jam session was just amazing for those who were in for the long haul. More than that, Mike Vigoda -yes the original Mike - regaled us with tales of the early days of the bar in between each act. I wish you all were there. It was just classic. Best of luck to the rest of the concerts in a few weeks and Avi you better get ready for the biggest damn bottle of Jack Daniels you've ever seen! Pictures and video to follow real soon. We also got a great guestbook for everyone to sign that Joey is gonna bring back in time for the gig in Tel Aviv. Peace out y'all, I gotta crash. eyesoftheworld03@hotmail.com

GuessWe left Israel June 2002, our last evening there (after living there for 10 years) was spent at Mikes Place. We went from the bar straight to the airport (yeah bus # 222). We were really shaken to hear of the attack. Our thoughts and prayers for all those injured and the 3 good souls who died. G-d Bless.

SC & London USA & UKI have been keeping up to date since the bombing. Gavin and Andrew Gross are brothers of my cousins Josh & Vanessa Barr. I mourn the deceased, and feel that I know them somehow. Seeing their photos was an honor. I've been to Tel Aviv twice in the past 4 years, and passed Mike's Place many times. (The next time I come, I'll stop in to say,"hi.") BC CANADATo the Mike's Place staff and family-I've safely arrived in the U.S., following a very intense couple of weeks as you all know and experienced yourselves...I'm not actually sure I've truly had the opportunity to register it all. As I arrived I was kidnapped to assume bridesmaid duties (no easy task let me inform you), then was rushed to Vegas for a last weekend with my folks, and am soon to be on a 10 hr. train ride to Frisco. I want all of you to know that despite my present distance, and despite the distance of the multitudes of others that care; much love and many prayers exist and overcome these distances continuously to help keep you sane and strong. I have spent the last hour or so browsing through the website... I wish all of the benefit events grand successes, though it is seemingly unnecessary- for I am confident that they shall all be true examples of the same warm and musical festivities that I myself took part in during my days at Mike's Place. Be well, be in touch, look after one another, and on occasion think of me and smile, knowing that I'm with you always.

I didnt visit the guestbook for a few days now, but I have been back in the bar EVERY day. It is far more than a bar, more a life blood, and a family which is second to none. It makes us all strong to see the influx of good wishes still streaming in from around the world. We are arranging benefit concerts in London, New York and Tel Aviv, so please watch this space. Details will appear shortly on the Web Site. Avi is looking so much better and this also feeds our will to go on, to keep the beers and the music going, to look for positivity out of all this mess. EnglandBrothers and sisters, I love you all and keep it strong and alive. Gal- your always on my mind man, we've had some kick ass times together, especially those late nights in j-town playing "tekken 3" eating kabanos and hummus. And the party just began. When we opened TA it was a dream come true...the blues, the beach, beautiful women, and a Phat-ass bartender (that would be me) Downtown- Your a back bone in TA, I hope your still wearing those raggedy-ass okleys. How's your dingle-berry rat-dog doing? Avi- Your always so happy and positive man, thanks from all the family, and take advantage of those little yellow pills that those doctors give you, and if you don't send me some! Hey Baxter- I dont know you but... I was smoking a joint poppin some preludes the other day, and I thought of a movie brother, so when you have some time (and patience) look me up, and don't forget your part of the family now! Dom----------------------------------------------When i look at those picture of you, me, and Gal standing behind the bar I smile with tears in my eyes. Peace my brothers and sisters
To Oren, I would like to point out that Mike's Place started as a haven for foreign and Israeli press after the Gulf War, and there have been a lot of regulars who have gone on to become journalists, editors, publishers, film producers, writers, etc. Do not ever underestimate the ability of a journalist to take something close to their own heart and make it a bigger story than a bigger story standing next to it, they are human, too.
Michael Vigodda
Oren, I don’t think you understood what this is all about. These where not people living in the territories, aware to the risk they’re taking by their own choice. These were people that went out to their favorite place, trying to have a good time. It’s as horrible as being bombed on a bus, while trying to get to work, or walking around in Dizingof, shopping. The reason this got so much exposure is that this place specifically is known for it’s tolerance, it’s willingness to welcome anyone as long as they love music, people, and want to have a good time. Not to mention the fact that this place is like a family- not only everyone knows everyone, but they also care. So, yes, maybe this got more exposure than other bombings, but just let me remind you- this isn’t exactly the place to say is seeing as these people, who go in this site, who sign in the guest book, just lost family.

israelAfter seeing all the shirts with "Still Here." printed on them at Mike's Place, I was reminded of a poem by Langston Hughes, an American poet, who wrote exactly that sentiment. Here it is: STILL HERE
I been scarred and battered
My hopes the wind done scattered.
Snow has friz me,
Sun has baked me,
Looks like between 'em they done
Tried to make me
Stop laughin', stop lovin', stop livin'
--But I don't care!
I'm still here!
Here's to all of us who are still here--laughing, loving and living, but never forgetting those that we lost.
Thanks to everyone who put together the wonderful memorial service and especially to Gal and Asaf who opened Mike's Place only a week after the attack--reminding the world that we are still here and we aren't going anywhere. And they'll never beat us down with terrorism (or anything else).

londonin Italy the day of the blast at Mike's the singers De gregori, Silvestri and Britti made a concert for the so called "peace" : it is obvious that their "peace" is meant everything against bush, in favor of saddam and the palestinians. At mike's we were doing real blues and rock, but the terrorists wanted to kill us because we are jews and not arabs. Those concerts in Italy and Europe are the expression of the never ended antisemitism : a concert "for the peace", that means a concert in favor of the palestinians just in the day jews were slaughtered while playing rock.

I couldnt really write until now but I feelo just a tiny bit stronger..... but guilty at the same time...guilty that I have been back to the bar and danced in the spot where our dear friends perished the previous week. Its quite surreal isnt it. But testement to what I have always said and loved about our wonderful country - resilience, inner strength, optimism, always looking for good in a bad situation, trying to find the positive angle - if there is one. I remember when the last terrorist was captured outside the bar a few months ago and we were sitting inside...Dom smiled at me and said "we have to go on, we cant let this get us down, we cant let them defeat us" ..Well Dom I know you can see us and I pray that you are proud, smiling, resting...in peace, paradise.

Tel AvivYanai accompanied me on my blues songs almost every Tuesday for the past year. Little did I know that "[the key of] C" would be the last words I'd ever hear from him I would never have imagined in my worst dreams that he would never play "Billie's Blues" with me again. I feel indescribably saddened yet honored to have been the last singer to have ever been accompanied by him. We laughed together about the all the kids taking over the jam two weeks before. We talked about our families; being the "older" generation of musicians at Mike's Place. We talked about our past and present occupations and the music. I walk around in disbelief that I will never see Yanai again. He contributed so much to my fun on stage - and made sure that I gave each musician due time for solos. I mourn Yanai like a family member; I grieve, and shall do everything in my power to uphold his memory, music and soul, together with his wife and kids. This week I also learned that I was the last singer to have ever been accompanied by Ran Baron, also a great musician. As he had worn a hat that night, I didn't know right away. I remember a great smile, as he seemed to be having a lot of fun as he played. I can't express the heartache I feel, knowing that I was the last singer to be accompanied by these two wonderful people. I feel honored as I grieve for them. JudyBZ

Israelwow, where do I start. This was going to be a happy message because finally things are starting to get back to normal but there's still nothing happy on this subject. I think I can say from the whole staff in Tel Aviv that opening within a week couldn't have happened without all the support we fed off of from this site. I know Gal, Assaf, UK Dave, everyone on the team (too many to list) and myself couldn't have done it without all of you and all those here in Israel. Thank you. Since our re-opening we have been shown not only solidarity but have had crowds that have amazed me. Mike's Place is bigger than any bomb, any one location, and we are beyond politics. Avi, beyond words. Known you for 12 years. From Givati to Mike's Place and still going. I love ya, and can't wait so see you dance your now famous 'jig' again! I'll see you tomorrow bro. Dom, you've been here since it all began, I'm at a loss for words, a week later and I already miss you so much. Yanai, for the last year I've been hearing you play, I've always thought you were amazing. I was next to you when you fell. I don't know why you and not me, you will be missed by so many. Ran, I didn't really know you but you knew where to hang out. Somebody made a big mistake and took all of you away. I saw you all go. I'm so sorry. To all the injured, we miss you and can't wait to down a beer together at the bar. Come home soon! Thank you all again.

HollandIt is always darkest before dawn... We shall always remember those who were taken from us, and those who were hurt by the terrible event of April 30. The memorial service at the end of Yom HaZikaron, and reopening the bar at the start of Yom Ha'atzmaut, really speaks for the character of Mike's Place. IsReally.com is maintaining various links and story-updates about the attack and the efforts to help the victims, rebuild and go on. Personally, I can't wait to play music again at the next Mike's Place Open Jam. Shalom

Israel/SAI cannot believe that this has happened. Dom was so beautiful, so tough and I so admired her. I made an imprint of her in my mind so that when I searched for a role model, I would picture her. I am so sorry, Gal and Assaf and everyone else who had to go through this atrocity. I worked with Dom and the rest of the crew for a few short months, when I was badly in need of money and in the army, and Gal and Assaf took me in. I am so proud of you for reopening. I will never forget you, Dominique. My heart goes out to the victims' families. I will be moving back to Israel as soon as I can-- and no bombing or terrorist will stop me. A bientot, Dominique.

He is a hero in the eyes of many many people, and please pass along to him that his American Ally Friends give him a hearty "Salute and Hoorah". IsraelB'SD On behalf of the entire Jewish Defense Organization, the Hagana of American Jews we send condolences and sympathy to the many Jews and others maimed and murdered by vicious Arab terrorists, whose true and only goal is to attempt to slaughter every Jew in Israel, and nothing less. Let us pray to Hashem and allow the Israeli Army to truly do its job to smash the terror . Let us shout from the rooftops that the PLO does not want and will never want "peace" with Jews no matter who is running it. Let Israel arrest and try Arafat as a war criminal just like Eichmann was and let the punishment be the same. Again our hearts go out and we must all be grateful to the guard who risked his very life and limb to save so many others. Again to ever discuss giving an inch of G-D given land can only insire Moslem terrorists groups to think Israel is weak and vulnerable. Not One Inch ! is the only answer they understand. Regardless, we send our condolences to all of our fellow Jews in Erets Yisrael. May Hashem Be With You and Watch You. Let Us All Remember How the Whole World Warned How Invincibe Saddam Hussein Was but Hashem Gave Stregth to America and Saddam is vanquished. The same could be done to local Arab terrorist groups if only we had the faith, will, and belief that we are right. Israel is our G-D given land ! www.jdo.org
